Selling my lovely little Honda as my interest is much older bikes and this one is so reliable that it offers no challenge. (And my wife says it must go) it does everything exactly as it should. The CB175 is arguably the best small twin that Honda made and this last model, the K6 is without doubt the best of those, proper sports bike. It is streaks ahead of the boring CD175 single carb commuter version.I bought this bike to keep so stripped the engine and gearbox for complete inspection, replacing piston rings, cam chain tensioner, most seals, head gasket and condenser. Carburettors stripped and cleaned, new jets fitted. fitted new battery, chain and front sprocket, new Pirelli tyres and tubes. All the red paintwork is new and touched up bits of frame. There are other new bits that can’t think of. Chrome on both mudguards is just about perfect. The rear wheel is fine but left it painted silver as it doesn’t affect the ride. Front wheel had new rim and stainless spokes few years ago. The seat had couple of small splits in the top which successfully repaired pretty much invisibly as wanted to keep the original seat, they are like hens teeth to find.This is an honest, reliable bike that just needs new home. Feel free to carry out any inspection (within reason), ask any questions. Test ride if you leave me with the agreed amount of cash. Please don’t come to tyre kick and make silly offers.
