This rather fine looking 1980 Suzuki GS850G has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is complete but for the trip knob on the clocks the throttle cable. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat, seat cover is perished.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight clean, discs, calipers working master cylinders. Forks yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguard is solid. Tail light assy is good. Instruments switches look great. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is usably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are original solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout hides the owners manual. Shock absorbers are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically very clean – When we hooked it up to good battery fed it few squirts of ether it fires tries to start run but it,s obvious the carbs need attention.
