Hi, thank you for looking at this listing. The bike you are looking at was imported via Australia (and believed originally to be an american market bike) at considerable cost by its current owner in November 2015, and at the time of importing had only covered delivery mileage since being manufactured in 1979!
The bike is in, as you can imagine, outstanding condition cosmetically and mechanically. The bike has now covered total of 3,834 miles! The current owner opted to put the bike through mechanical overhaul before putting it on the road, consisting of carb rebuild, replacement Avon Roadrider tyres, and various other small details to get the bike to the condition it is in today.
The bike will be supplied with all supporting import papers and UK V5c, and is currently MOT'd until September 2017.
The current owner of the bike purchased her as powerful single cylinder means of motorcycling into his senior years, and unfortunately has found that he would rather enjoy bike with electric start and warranty for his peace of mind now that he's 78, (And still biking!) He has subsequently purchased new Triumph Street Twin, and needs this bike gone.
The bike is located in Redruth, Cornwall, and delivery can be arranged by prior negotiation. Viewing is of course strongly recommended, as this bike is truly time capsule, and has to be seen to be appreciated. If had the funds, i'd have bought it myself!
The current owner feels that £4800 is sensible figure, but i'm willing to take offers via the 'make an offer' button. All sensible offers will be fed back to the owner and given due consideration.
