MustangBeginningsIf you have ever wanted Candy Apple 67 Mustang Fastback project thatwas affordable, This is the car!  This isan original V-8, 289 “A” bbl code car, with lug suspension both front andrear.   The original build date was September30, 1966, one day behind schedule.  Please see Marti report attached. Itcomes with a correct code dated engine, code 6J15.   The original color was Candy Apple Red, whichis one of the greatest Mustang colors of all time.  Originally equipped with speed manualtransmission and 3.0 Equa-Loc differential this car could spin its tires withease.It brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands andFord’s strategy worked-selling more Mustangs than ever before.   When fully restored,this car will easily sell for $50,000 or more.  Please see the picture of how this Mustang will look when fully restored.BODY:
The frame of this fastback will need some work. As you can see from the pictures, the car will need to have either thefront of the driver’s quarter repaired, or the full quarter replaced. We areincluding full quarter to make the repair all the easier.  Overall this Mustang is great candidate fora concourse restoration.INTERIOR:
The interior will need little work, but it is really the easiest part of therestoration.  The car came with bucketseats in the front and fold down “sport deck” rear seat which gives lots ofroom for packages for Santa. The good news is that you can see what is needed.You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs.   All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come withthe car but will need to be restored.  Both front buckets seats are included.   We can include the door panels and dash pad ifyou want, but you will probably want new ones if you are going for concoursecondition.ENGINE BAY:
Engine bay is in great condition.  The289 turns over, but will need to be rebuilt. Since it doesn’t have transmission currently, you might want toconsider upgrading to T-5 transmission which will fit nicely behind the 289with one inch spacer plate.

BRAKE SYSTEM:
The mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete.  If you would rather have front disk brakes,we can add those for $1,000.GLASS:
The fastback will need new glass all around. We are Scott Drake dealer, so please contact us for pricing on theglass.TITLEThe car comes with Bill of Sale only.  We purchased the car from private seller inWisconsin many years ago, and never got around to getting the car registered inour name.  We have the Bill of Sale fromthe previous owner.  If you want, we can obtain clear California title in ourname, but that will take an extra to weeks.MISC.
