1981 Yamaha XS 650 Special XS650SH 550mi. Original miles it is easy to tell. Rides, runs, looks like motorcycle with 550mi. Still has original oil in it, in the site glass (little window into the crankcase) it's color is like honey, original tires showing no sign of weathering, feel rubbery and the front still has the original orange/red and yellow paint in the tread. This is the first XS650 I've ever ridden (out of over 70 I've had) that snicks into first gear hardly even making noise. Caught myself looking at the neutral light to make sure had it in gear, like it just came out of the mechanics/technicians setup bay/shop. Yamaha parts were replaced with Yamaha parts where available, gauge covers had little dents, new were installed from Yamaha, front fender is on order from Yamaha as the one that was on there had what looked like it had been polished in small area with brillo pad, left foot peg rubber replaced with Yamaha factory part the rubber had tear in it. Tank has been painted as it too was polished with brillo pad. Maybe kid or grandchild thought they were helping polish the pretty bike ? Has the security chain and original tool kit, comes with Yamaha factory service manual. All original take off parts available on request, can be supplied with bike or ? Photo copy of original title and it's only other owner available as well as certified mechanics inspection report.
