This 1967 Mercedes 230SL.......one of 185 built.... was just pulled out of its 32 year hibernation. It is pure "euro model" and was purchased by south Louisiana oil field business owner in the late 70s (friend of my dad) and driven in rotation with his other toys of the day. When the oil field collapse of the early 80s hit..... he parked it, in 1984 with most of the other cars/toys he had, while his company struggled. Roll forward to 1993.... his son in law wanted it. They sent off the mechanical fuel injector and fuel pump for rebuild. Installed them. The car fired right up. Then..... clutch and brake went right to the floor. (Of course). Sooooo..... there it sat till he called me (At 83 years old) with "deal couldn't refuse". I bought several. love this car, but like the OLD ones. I'm selling this one as is, with good title in my name. This Euro model 230SL has only 23,000 original miles (speedo only displays Kilometers and reads 37,128). It is completely original and complete except for one wheel beauty ring missing. The floor pans as well as the rockers are solid!!! Very little surface rust on the steel body panels. The hood and trunk are aluminum. Chrome will polish up. Body is straight and solid. Glass is good. Has BOTH tops. It has been in dry storage all this time! Comes with service manual. Owners manual. Parts manual and original 1967 sales brochure. Original key. This is your chance to own super low mileage timeless classic. John Lennon had one identical to it and always said it was his favorite!
