Here is rare opportunity to secure "scarce as hensteeth" vintage motorcycle. It is Honda XR75 K1, 1974 model. These were the second ofthe XR75 models produced and are highly sought after. It has been restored to high standard. The restoration has brought the bike back to a very close to original and almost as new condition. The main non original part fitted is the "shorty style" exhaust/muffler. These were apparently popular modification for these bikes 'back in the day' to improve performance. As result, the bike is just little louder than an XR with standard muffler but definitely seems to have more grunt with the decreased restriction. The muffler does have few dents and is not perfect.MechanicallyThe engine has been rebuilt and has been bored to 0.5 oversize with new rings and fully reconditioned head. It starts easily, runs well (although seems little rough on idle) and it rides very well. Brakes, throttle, on/off switch, clutch etc. all function perfectly. The carburetor is the original Kehin and was rebuilt while ago but may require clean or adjustment to rectify the rough idle (it's really not too bad). The tyres are brand new IRC's and are the closest possible match to the original IRC Tractor Grips. Chain and sprockets are brand new. Bike has really only been showpiece and has hardly been ridden since being restored.CosmeticallyThe brand new chrome wheels are not original but look almost identical to original. The chrome on the handle bars and forks have been redone and are as new. Many of the alloy parts such as the lower fork tubes and the wheel hubs have been professionally metal polished and shine like chrome. The frame and most of the black parts have been sandblasted and powder coated in gloss black.  The tank and all of the grey painted parts have been finished to very high standard with pack paint which was computer matched to the original "Rubber Grey Metallic" Honda colour. New decals and clear coat have also been applied. believe that you will not find better paintwork on any restored bike... it is immaculate. The rear shocks are the original adjustable Showa shocks and theyfunction well and the chrome on them is in excellent condition. Theseat is brand new.  There really are too many new parts on the bike to list, but rest assured, anything that was not up to scratch has been replaced or restored to as new condition during rebuild. The only exception is the exhaust, which as mentioned, has few dents and is not original. Good second hand exhausts can be sourced occasionally but are rare and expensive. Replicas of the original Honda pipes can be purchased from the USA and are good alternative if the buyer was wishing to replace the pipe at some point in the future. Many of the original parts on this bike are very rare, difficult to obtain and therefore worth lot of money. There are few (very few) barely noticeable blemishes here and there on the bike such as small chip on the front guard and scratch on the top of the motor. Nothing bad but just want the buyer to be aware of this. I feel that this bike is not quite show quality, but very damn close to it. Ideal for man cave, showpiece at home or ride and enjoy! Relive your childhood or teach your own kids to ride on bike just like the one you learned on! Give it to an enthusiast (Dad, Pop, Uncle, Brother, or whoever) as the best present ever!.... It's up to you! Please look closely at the photos as they give the best indication of the condition/ appearance of the bike.Bike is for auction only. There is no buy it now price so ifyou want it you will have to be the highest bidder. Stupid offers are just that.....stupid... so please don't waste everyone's time by submitting them. Please only bid if you intendto complete the purchase. Time wasters not tolerated. If you have feedbackscore of less than 10, contact me before you bid or will delete your bid.Bike is preferably for pick up only, however, will assist genuine buyers in getting the biketo you via bike transport company if need be, provided that you make your ownarrangements with the company and cover the associated costs. am only selling this bike to help fund other projects.... would really prefer to be keeping it but can't. Buyer will definitely not be disappointed.Frame number is XR75-1112314 engine number is XR75E-1111993Thank you and good luck with your bids!
