An extremely rare and well maintained, Australian made 1956 Plymouth BELVEDERE Ute. These were made under the Chrysler banner in South Australia back then and were unique in that they were only made for the Australian market. The U.S did not get this car£!!
Using pressings from the 1954 U.S Plymouth's, our 1956 Plymouth's were made in all body types but the Aus only coupe utility were made in very few numbers. My Belvedere is one of 49 Made but they also came in the lower Cranbrook and Savoy specifications with total made in 1956 at just over 500  examples.
Approximately months ago treated my ute to sympathetic respray in the original baby blue but fitted more modern (And neater tonneau cover. The only rust in the car after all these years and subsequently removed) was 5cm hole just under the L.H rear tail light. Otherwise, she is extremly solid and still has all the the original glass and chrome... and super rare hubcaps!!!
Since then she has been stored in excellent conditions and regularly maintained as part of the display in the motor life museum in Kembla Grange, South of Wollongong.
She has full NSW rego and drives really well with it's reconditioned flathead 230 CID  cylinder motor and speed Powerflite Auto. This combination is virtually indestructable and will cruise all day at 80 90kph as i've done on few trips into the country and on car shows.
A very unique car which turns heads wherever she goes.
Only selling due to recent personal circumstances.
