Rare 1964 Smooth Roof 850 Morris Mini Panel Van.
I bought this car approximately 4-5 years ago, from Swan Hill in un restored 100% original condition with matching number engine, the car ran but had rusted passenger floor, brakes not working ect.Over the next 6-12 months stripped all of the running gear out and rebuilt both subframes, changed the motor to 1275cc, made new brake and fuel line, replaced the rusted passenger floor with NOS floor piece. The under body and engine bay was repainted with matching acrylic paint to keep with the era.I wanted the car to look like it was straight out of barn from the 60's, but wanted the performance of Cooper and the reliability of current car. No shortcuts have been taken and I'm happy to share any pictures from the build.The Van is currently on Club Permit and is not transferable.
Since finishing this car years ago, it has mainly been driven to car shows and special events, most recently was on display at the 2017 Melbourne Formula One and the V8 Super Cars at Phillip Island.
This car would make great daily drive or just weekender as have used it.
1275cc, 45mm Weber, Spax shocks, 7.5" discs, new brake and fuel lines. Every part that has been removed has been replaced with brand new Quality parts or rebuilt to better than original Part.
