The R100S was BMWs high end sport bike of the late 1970s. Dual disc brakes in the front and single disc in the rear. This was the first R100 series bike that BMW offered with rear disc brake.- This 1978 BMW Classic has been thoroughly gone through by Oshmo Motorcycles of LA- Freshly painted in BMWs classic black with white pinstripes - Motorsport gas cap - Oshmo Stainless steel triple clamp. With center nut and billet fork caps. Original parts are available with purchase on request- New Continentals tires.- New rear Komi Icon shocks. Classic BMW Snow Flake wheels. Front wheel is BMW updated specified BMW recall bulletins 36-022-84 (2117); And 36-023-84(2123) - The bike has been thoroughly tuned and serviced- Forks serviced - Carbs have fresh rebuild. - Brake flush- I have the original R100S badge for the rear cowl. Not on the bike when photographed. As of this auction am upgrading the cable operated front brake master cylinder to handle bar mounted R100 type. And switches.
