The real selling point of this truck though is the TRD designed, factory installed SUPERCHARGER. This takes the standard 4.0L V6 to 304 HP and 334 ft-lbs of torque. Makes this truck super fun to drive, and extremely powerful. This is $5,000 option, and was only installed on few thousand vehicles. TRD has since discontinued production of these superchargers, and finding one for sale can be real challenge. Highly desirable option for any Tacoma enthusiast.
We bought this truck with 45,000 miles, and have put about that much on it ourselves. We have loved having it, and had plans to keep it many more years, but are selling it for the sake of getting something more practical for our family now that we have child. Mileage will continue to go up slightly, as we are still driving this vehicle, though it may be coming off the road soon.
It has small dent and few superficial rust spots on the rear bumper, some fading of the paint on the door handles, and hole in one of the headlight housings. The steering column u-joint started to develop some corrosion year or two ago. have been keeping it loosened up with regular lubrication. have not had any trouble with it as long as spray some lube on it every few months, but you could replace it if you wanted to. No other problems, no warning lights, and no mechanical issues.
I understand that am asking lot for this truck. To the right person, this is rare and valuable vehicle. encourage anyone interested in it to try driving this model without the supercharger, and then come drive mine. Feel the difference.
