This auction is for Yamaha TRX850, Bike has been modified to improve the looks and handling of what Yamaha built to rival the Ducati twins of the mid-late 90's.
The rear of the bike has fibreglass solo race seat in good condition, it has seat release on the underside of the rear undertray to access the battery and associated electrics.The swingarm is YZF750 as is the rear wheel, allowing wider 180 section tyre.Rear brake is stock TRX but same unit as YZF750 and comes with Brembo master cylinder, pedal has recently been replaced by an OEM pedal shipped directly from Yamaha Japan. This was changed because embarrassingly laid the bike over at less than walking pace in puddle, no bodywork damage, just scuffing to the casing and the silencer end cap at the link pipe.
Exhausts are straight through, have baffles for road use which are not currently fitted but included in the sale.
Airbox has been opened up and there is free flowing filter, carbs jetted appropriately, it goes well throughout the rev range.R6 5eb throttle tube to quicken the action.CNC brake and clutch levers, brand new EBC HH pads in R6 5eb calipers have not even been bedded in yet, have done less than 100 mtrs.Forks were rebuilt by the motorcycle mechanic previous owner, new seals/oil etc.Samco hoses throughout the engine, braided brake lines throughout the braking system.Bike has had clock change at some point by previous owner.Tyres have plenty of tread on them, Dunlop Sportmax 180/55/17 rear, 120/70/17 front.
Bodywork and tank have been repainted in fantastic yellow with blue speedblocks as per the Yamaha anniversary models, it really is very good only improvement would be to lacquer the nose cone after it was redone by the previous owner.
Rides and sounds brilliant, bought it to commute on up the A14 but it's too good for that and didn't want to stick silly miles on it for no good reason so it has to go.Get's attention wherever it goes, it's different and people like that.MOT until March 28th 2018.Bike is 19 years old, there are some marks and scars to be expected of bike of this age.
Bike has sensible reserve on it, much less than the silly dealer prices for inferior bikes from £2495 to £4195.
