Moto Guzzi Griso 1100 4v, 2006Gleaming blackGorgeous bike in excellent all round condition Starts, runs and rides brilliantly
24,851 milesFull service history (most recent summer 2019 at Moto Guzzi authorised dealer in Bristol 1400 miles done since)MoT till September 2020Datatool alarm and immobiliserFinebau 'Aero Plus Lite' electronic fuel injection module/controller significantly improves low and mid range power delivery, smooths throttle control and improves low speed engine control.GPR sports exhaust (with removable baffle) sounds amazing!  The original exhaust is included.Rear tail tidy looks much sharper.  Original rear mudguard is also included. Both tyres good.  No known faults, rides beautifully.  Super smooth gearshift, very progressive throttle response (probably due to the Finebau controller).  Surprisingly quick bike when you want it to be, both in terms of power and handling.  Fantastic riding position with excellent comfortable seat (professionally recovered in 2019) and wide bars giving great control and all-day rideability. Great visibility in the mirrors.  The headlight has been significantly improved with Philips RacingVision (+150%) bulb.  The small handlebar screen does help to reduce wind at motorway speeds.  Beautiful condition overall.  The one blemish would highlight is at the front of the engine block/sump where some paint has flaked where stones etc hit from the front wheel (see last photo). Otherwise excellent.
I dreamed of owning Griso ever since they were first released it is such simple and beautiful design.  personally think it is probably the best looking bike ever made.  What did surprise me lot with this Griso, was how easy and how much fun  it is to ride.  The throttle is really smooth, giving plenty of low and mid range power.  Gearshift is also easy and very smooth.  It may not keep up with race bikes on track, but for road use it is very easy bike to hustle along at good pace would describe it more as much more 'sport' than 'cruiser'.  It is my first shaft drive bike, and to be honest haven't noticed any difference compared to chain drive, other than less maintenance.  Another surprise is its durability I've owned other Italian bikes before and they fell apart in UK weather this bike doesn't seem to have that problem and the paint, brightwork and plastics are all good (except small area of flaked paint mentioned on the engine behind the front wheel as shown in last image).  This one also sounds fantastic with the GPR stainless steel exhaust like it with the baffle removed (loud but not obnoxious).

Conditions of sale (please read before bidding):Viewings are welcome in person or via video call (e.g. Facetime or Zoom) before the end of the auction.  The bike is located just outside Bristol (close to M5 junction 19).  In person viewing would just need to be contactless, so test ride will not be possible unless have full asking price in my hand (basically, if you damage it you have bought it, if no damage the cash deposit can be returned).  I'm happy to liaise with collection/delivery company if you want the bike delivered to your door (at your cost), obviously would require full payment before they take the bike. Any bid is binding commitment to buy at that price please do not bid if you are not ready to buy.  Winning bidder must contact me on the day the auction ends.  Deposit (10%) payable within 24hrs of auction end (by bank transfer).  Buyer must arrange collection within days.  Any non-contact/non-payment will be reported. (Sorry to say this, but I've been messed around previously).
