This bike is being sold as spares or repair, but it does run and has full MOT, but it is scruffy and needs restoring.  would say run it for the summer then rebuild over the winter.
You are looking at my 1984 Honda GL1200 Aspencade Goldwing.  have had this bike for nearly three years and to be honest have done very little to it.  bought it with the aim of rebuilding it, it was in quite sorry state.  It had been dropped on the right side and it wasn’t charging.  sorted the charging with new regulator/rectifier and decent battery.  (you can see on the pics it has Mottobat, visible because didnt realise hadn’t fitted the side panel properly when took the pics!).  spiced the inner right side of the fairing in from donor as the pocket was missing and it had been patched up with alloy and vinyl.  replaced the cracked offside pannier bottom half.  have been riding it as bagger with short screen and no top box, as in the video.  have now put the tall screen and the box back on but it will come with the short screen if you prefer it.
The good news is that it passed the MOT this morning with advisories.  The first two are the back brake, it is binding bit and the pads are getting low.  will clean this and fit new pads before it sells.  There is surface rust at the top of the rear shocks, this will easily clean up.  Finally fairings are in poor state (cracks and brakes)  The bottom two small panels on the fairing are cracked and glued, plus forgot to refit one before taking it to the garage.  The plastic panels are scruffy and need some TLC.  My plane was to strip them and turn it into ‘plain Jane’. replaced the old rotten exhaust with second hand stainless Motad system.  replaced the worn out seat with decent one.
Bad bits, the odometer stopped working last year, put on about two to three thousand since then.  It was unreliable before that so can’t guarantee any of the old milages.  The clock doesn’t work, bought voltmeter to replace it as thought it more useful, it come with it.  There is dead lcd on the fuel gauge, but if you replace the dash for the odometer then this would be cured as well.  The top box has worn through corner see pics) and the base is cracked, but has been reinforced.
It comes with the small screen, new brake pads, replacement seal kit for cultish reservoir with was given.  All the additional chrome bits that took off when got it plus various spares.  It also has the owners handbook and dealers book, haynes manual, loads of history including most MOTs and lot of receipts, the original American title and the original tool kit. There is also an open alloy trailer that you can have if you want it.  used to be an ice hockey net minder so used this for transporting my kit, also good for tip runs etc.  It has the intercom, but have never used it so can't say if it works or not.
This bike has never let me down, but have to admit at 61 it is getting bit heavy for me.  Fine when its moving, but heavy to push.  have decided that will never finishing and have other bikes that need my attention, so time to part company.
I am OK with cash, or you can pay by card on collection.  will also accept bank transfers.  If you want to organise courier am happy to deal with them.  As am listing as spares or repair will only accept returns if it doesn't match the description.  Any messages with silly offers will be ignored, prefer to let auctions run their course.
