Hi, and welcome to our auction for very clean standard Honda Gl1000,Well she was bought into UK originally in 2010, Where from don't know but reg plate is VEZ 7626 ,well it must of come from somewhere dry ,looking at reg plate Channel Islands maybe or dry garage as there is NO RUST etc anywhere on her ,not even the exhaust ,and if anybody knows about early Goldwing pipes ,then you will know they had reputation for rottin out if not looked after, well these are very good indeed, have look around at early wing's as they should have Matt black pipe's from headers right back through if they have this alone is very rare these days ,and no the pipe's should not be chrome as most are replacements). She has beautiful patina as she is not some back of van show bike (WHY? We acquired her in 2011 (well me son did from guy in Ramsgate, on bringing her home to sunny Cornwall (i'll use that word lightly i'm afraid we noticed that it did not run very well yes you guessed it gummed up carbs as it had been sitting in garage for years, NOW this is BIG problem for old Wings and can be very expensive to get this sorted alone, think about that if contemplating restoration Anyway we had the carbs overhauled, but she still ran like lame donkey, yes the carbs were leaking etc anyway after two attempt's by so called experts over hear we bit the bullet and sent them to OLDSCHOOLCARBS.COM in San Jose, California USA, now these guy's know their onions about carbs can tell ya well weeks later they were back home and i'm not kidding ,everything was like new in every detail, springs washers,connectors etc, Cost for the job all in was ??500 bargain if you ask me should have done it on the outset .well we all live and learn guess. Well with the new lung's back on we gave her some new feet (du! tires oil, filters battery etc and MOT, cost for this, yea another ??400 notes. OH sorry forgot to say the miles on 24/02/2013 was 12070. In June 2010 the miles were 11578 (me trainers have covered more miles in that time Anyway last year she was then sent down to BIKE TECH Padstow in Cornwall for rollin road set up, Oh lovely, she now runs sweeter than Starbucks cappuccino and that's VERY sweet, as she needs for nothin except MOT never been used really as had other bikes in collection at the time ,but now all sold sorry to say yep she is the last to go, anyway she has only done 200miles since having everything done, so will fly though that no problem. WELL early Goldwing's are now the King of cool (look up any classic bike mag's and if you are looking for very clean standard, up and running one, that needs for nothing then here she is i'm startin the bidding at paltry ??3500 with no reserve which is half the price i've seen some up for sale on here, so it could be bargain for some lucky punter ,but hope not for my sake, sorry she is up for sale else where and have the right to be pull it off the auction at any time so if your serious best contact me CHEERS FOR LOOKING ANYWAY
