Hi to all welcome to the extremely reluctant sale of my bike, sale due to medical condition now need bike with fully upright riding position.

I've been the proud owner of the 'bird' for coming up to 13 years. I've actually been half heartedly selling this bike for the last years, could never bring myself to do it, continually riding with pain killers, but time has now caught up with me my last proper ride out was yesterday. As you can guess, if were to detail everything I've done to her during my ownership, you would be here all day, so I'll try to be informative, detailing what believe bikers would want to know.

Ebay only lets you load on 12 pictures, I've loads more should anyone need them. About me; I'm an ex armed forces (Royal Navy) electrical mechanical engineer (did 14 years for my sins) hence do everything maintenance wise myself. This has it's pro's con's, as also end up looking after lot of other peoples bikes where live! I've uploaded few pictures of my bike that the majority of motorcycle owners wouldn't like you to see, the underneath of fully faired bike. As fairings can be bit of an art (anyone can take them off apart), you try putting them back together again, especially when there's inner fairing involved, hence why lot of fully faired bikes maintenance programmes aren't adhered to, mine certainly doesn't fall in to that category.

I'm going to stick my neck out now state that this blackbird is amongst the very best you'll find in the whole of the UK. I'd like to think there are few more out there like mine, though I've yet to find one put mine to shame, its usually the other way around. If owning bike of this ilk is your only goal, then you can find cheaper bikes for sale. However, if you're like me are proud to own (& keep) bike in this condition, then grab yourself rare chance to own this particularly well sorted bike, chances like this don't come around that often, you get what you pay for with quality.

I've also got around £3k+ worth of (tasteful useful) extra's installed which I'll list for you below. I've not shown pictures of the service records, as wouldn't get them in one shot. have every receipt for every nut bolt, part fitted, service items etc. ever spent on this bike.

To give you an idea of the sort of owner am, I've spent £228 on the bike last week, on items it didn't really need or that would add any value to the bike (I won't see this money back), but want it to be in perfect condition for the new owner, knew what parts it needed, so got them. Vast majority of other people** that will look at it probably wouldn't have noticed.

** I've been riding since 1999 have only owned big bikes GSX750F (18 months from new), VFR800Fi (3.5 years) CBR1100XX (13 years) the first person to see the bikes have bought them, I've no reason to doubt that trend will change either.

Now some facts that guess you would like to know now;
1 previous (original) owner this blackbird came from Dobles Honda, have the original bill of sale.2 immobilisers installed, Honda HISS immobiliser Spyball Patriot AM/8510 UKT alarm immobiliser, have the original installation certificate form Dobles Honda.2 ignition keys with built in chip for the HISS system alarm key fobs (1 key fob still in original packaging never been used).Fully service history, all detailed in the service record with details of work done recorded mileages receipts dates.Bikes never been dropped, crashed or in an accident.Original HPI report available that paid for prior to purchasing the bike in 2004.
Bike is kept in garage never goes out in the rain (if have been caught out, it gets washed straight away when home).Not ridden during the months Oct/Nov to Feb/March (I don't enjoy winter riding), yes, say it fair weather rider all that!
Tyres are Michelin Pilot road's (4 on the front on the rear) both not squared off have plenty of life left see mileages new tyres fitted below.
Full documented work detail (on word document) of previous maintenance carried out, with dates, work done why with mileages at the time.Honda heated grips (still look like new work fine), these were £175 back in 2001 you get what you pay for.Valve clearances checked by Honda at 36,000 miles (I wanted the stamp in the book for that one) valve clearances didn't need adjusting been told they never do on blackbird, as the engine is that good well over engineered.
Progressive fork springs (better than the standard OEM versions) did the fork oil at 38,010 milesNew rear tyre at 42,742 miles.New front rear (genuine Honda OEM sprockets) DID Gold X-ring chain fitted at 42,742 miles.
Front rear wheel bearings rear hub carrier bearings done at 43,044 miles.New Yuasa battery at 44,230 milesNew (Mosfet) upgraded reg rec at 44,459 miles.New uprated alternator at 44,459 milesEngine coolant service at 44,459 miles (K&N filter cleaned, rinsed re-oiled using K&N servicing kit). Plugs didn't need changing, as are Iridium tipped super 4's (4 electrodes) very expensive, you get what you pay for...New front tyre fitted at 45,100 milesRear shock absorber (a K-Tech shock) sent back to K-Tech racing specialist (Rev's Racing) in Halesowen for full re-build service re-gas at 45,248 miles.Never failed any of the last 13 MOT's never had an advisory either (you can check this on the government transport websites, don't take my word for it). The MOT time is game play with my local garage, believe I'm winning 13 0. They do try to find something wrong with it, bless them!! But never do.... :-)Now for the extra's mentioned above

I think I've covered everything now, though bound to have forgotten something.I'll happily answer any questions from genuine buyers, know this bike inside out. actively encourage all viewings, wouldn't expect anyone to buy the bike 'blind', but that's your own choice.
If you would like test ride (no test pilots), that's fine upon proof of insurance, full bike license with you you have been riding for good few years (this bike is not for novice or inexperienced riders), plus the all important final agreed price in cash, put in my hand before you ride off on my pride joy (genuine buyers will understand, this isn't like buying car). The tyres are very grippy don't have any 'chicken strips' to speak of, so you're good to go.
This bike is advertised elsewhere, will end the sale early should somebody make me an offer. I'm open to sensible offers, but not stupid offers. If you've read all above, you'll know that this bike won't need anything doing for years, as I've done it all it's basically ready to ride go touring on, whatever is prefered.The sucessful lucky new owner, please contact me within 24 hours of sale ending deposit of £500 is required immediately via paypal if you purchase the bike via ebay (deposit none refundable, this is so know you're serious buyer apologies to all genuine buyers on ebay). Full payment expected in cash upon collection please contact me in person to make final arrangements.Lastly, the Red Fazer 600 in the picture belongs to my wife (just in case anyone was wondering!)
If you've stuck with it, thanks for looking best of luck!!I forgot to add, the bike also has Smartwater security tagging all over it, you can't see any evidence of this (trust me it's there). have the certification from Smartwater for this system they charge you £23 year for the upkeep, technology service that Smartwater provide (it's linked to the Police), should your worst nightmare ever happen.
