This is BSA Gold Star B50SS which was originality exported to Maryland USA in September 1971.It was imported back into the U.K. in 2016.This bike has matching frame and engine numbers. have Dating certificate and Vehicle report from The BSA Owners club. The bike is U.K. registered on an age related plate and have V5 in my name. The mileage showing on the speedometer is only 2595 and although there is no way of verifying this to be correct the overall excellent, very original condition would suggest that this machine has spent very large proportion of its life in dry storage in much kinder climate than ours. All the paintwork on the frame, tank, side panels etc look to be completely original, as is the chrome. The wheels look to have been rebuilt, the rims and spokes are perfect and the conical hubs look to have been refinished. The wiring is all perfect with all the electrics working as they should.I have fitted Boyer Electronic ignition, these big, high compression singles are renoun for being difficult to start and the electronic ignition has made big difference. The engine starts quite easily (once you’ve got the knack) it runs and rides really well and is quite fit for bike nearly 50 years old.I am reluctant to over describe this bike and call it concourse but it comes close. I would go as far as to say don’t think better or more original one has come on the market recently. Please call me if you require any further info on zero, seven, seven, zero, three, 306050. Thanks for interest.
