Finally got round to it......and am putting the ol' Beemer up for sale. As mechanically sound as the day bought it, this bike has few 'battle scars' as you'd expect for 36 year old but as decent example of an excellent touring machine, you'll find this one hard to beat. The R100 just goes on and on     Three owners since new, I've had it for the last 18 years and have steadily come to the conclusion that it's just waste of fine motorcycle when check the MOT's and realize that I've only covered 1180 miles in the last 12 years ...that's less than 100 miles year.     There's lot of 'extras' on the bike, some subtle improvements and one 'not so subtle' i.e. the comfort saddle sorry, gave away the original seat to friend !) Fog light, anti resonance rubbers, Nivomat air suspension, two extra gauges air temperature and oil pressure) stainless silencers, heat shields, higher Perspex screen, fork brace, stainless braided brake hoses, heated grips, Surefoot side stand, battery charge point, isolator switch and the later style panniers.     There's brand new battery that'll have years guarantee on it as replaced the monster that bought years ago.....( just keep asking myself the same question, why am doing this ?) spent almost £1000 in 2008 replacing tyres, wheel bearings, brake pads, fork rebuild etc...the bill's in the paperwork.       Finally, you'll see that I've included load of BMW 'stuff' that might as well go with the bike. Two starter motors that are still good...I replaced one with the Valeo version that's lighter and superior. There's brake pads and 'lord knows' what else that I've accumulated from many BMW's that I've owned, since was kid
