TheCL400 was revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1997 and went on sale inSeptember the following year. Honda engineers were given the design brief ofbuilding bike that handles well in the city and on country lanes and hastimeless beauty. They carried that off with aplomb. Feeding the boom forretro-style scrambler-type bikes at the time but now highly sought after classicin its own right, the CL400 is arguably the most elegant production motorcyclein its field.The overall look is an homage to the earlier scramblers but this isreally road bike, using the NC38E engine that started with the iconic GB400TT. As well as its good looks and value as collectable, it handles beautifully. Oursis an extremely low mileage (1,571 miles) 1999 model in exceptional condition.The only hint at its true years is some ageing on the front forks.
