What to do if V5 (Log book) is not present:Applyingfor replacement V5 is very straight forward and inexpensive. You can applyfor replacement V5 in your name by completing “V62” form (Available onlineor from your local post office). Fill out the form with all of the relevantinformation and enclose cheque for £25, once sent to the DVLA they will issueyou with new V5 (Normally within to weeks). What does “write off” on HPI register mean?If avehicle is registered as “write off”, it means that it has been involved inan incident (normally either an accident or theft). It has subsequently gonethrough an insurance claim process and has been deemed uneconomical to repair.All bikes can go back on the road once they are repaired and made road worthy /safe.
