have owned and run this bike for the past years as reliable daily transport and european tourer and it has been cheap bike to run, but now its time for something new. Modifications include: Upright fat bar conversion, with extended wiring loom and longer braided brake lines, Quill end cans, Pyramid hugger (slight damage from puncture causing twig), Scott-oiler, german made heavy duty aluminium radiator, stainless steel Baeuwolf radiator guard, Swing-arm stand Bobbins, braided clutch and rear brake lines, EBC HH front pads, EBC organic rear pads, DID X-ring chain, LED side lights, mini-indicators, Datatool Alarm, tank protector, USB port, tail tidy, Puig tinted touring screen. In 2017, the engines magneto failed (as they can do on SV's) filling the engine with bits of magnet. replaced the engine with used unit from 2008 SV1000 classic (128 hp spec.) over winter of 2017/18. This engine has approx. 25,000 miles when fitted. The chassis has done approximately 45,000 miles and the engine 30,000 miles. The V5 has been updated with the new engine number. When did the engine change the following work was also done: New steering head bearings and cups (tapered rollers), new fork seals and fluid, new front calipers rebuilt with new seals etc., new wheel bearings and cush-drive bearing and all seals, injection system clean, cooling system clean and water pump seal replacement, replacement rear shock, new rear linkage bearings, new swingarm bearings, new exhaust gaskets and seals, new chain and sprockets, plus many other detailed and cleaning jobs. The bike comes with quite few spares including spare pistons, barrels and heads, generator complete clutch assembly, thermostat and housing, coolant hoses, part worn rear tyre. Also comes with paddock stand if wanted buy the buyer, all receipts, MOT certificates (no advisories) and full Suzuki factory manual. Has near new Michelin Pilot road on the rear (twig incident) and part worn on the front. All consumables are in good condition and has had recent oil and filter change (Motul semi-synthetic). MOT expires 31st March and it will have new test if sold after this date.
