This is my 1998 Impreza type that has been in dry storage for years, has been project that I’ve had on the go. Never registered in the UK or driven on UK roads since imported in 2011 so completely rust free. Car was imported with 146km on the clock. Still has the same. have for the first time just got an mot on it. Imported by me from company have used for the last 20 years in Japan.
its never been on road so still needs some tweaks. it has few issues which will list out.

1- Its had new paint, to be honest the rear bumper hardly visable) has lacquer run and overspray on parts of the black trim. 2- for some unknown (annoying reason) when the ecu is mounted back in the footwell it runs at over 16v, causing the ecu to cut out on safety mode. when the ECU is flat in the foot well it work fine, so obviously faulty wire that comes from the ECU that goes to the injectors. an easy fix.3- as it was painted we removed all the wheel arches which ares still in my other house Dubai, once this lockdown is over can get them sent back.
the car engine wise, running gear, brakes, suspension etc are all high quality no expense spared. the underside is rust free, the re spray as mentioned is not 100% the best job, but each person has there own standards, so have look yourself to see what you think.
with bit of time and effort this car can easily be back to £14-16k car
