Welcome to my auction for my 1990 Royal Blue GTI 8V which is fitted with 1997 1.9 TDI AHU (90ps) lump from MK3 Golf.
The car was converted 2013 by previous owner, engine taken from 1997 MK3 Golf, car is fitted with the following:
1.9 TDI AHU enginePD130 passat turbo setupPD130 inleft manifoldEGR deleteARP headstudsSAAB FMIC.216 nozzles280mm front brakesMK3 ECU with rocketchip stage chips (approx 160-170ps)O2a speed gearbox with G60 clutch and flywheeldecatted downpipe and straight through exhaustCoiloversMK3 top mounts (also have front Polybush top mounts in the boot)G60 steel wheels in gold (wheels have some dents and tyres are now shot)Porsche door handles (worth £200 on their own)Porsche glovebox handleMK2 OEM cruise control which works!!!
Custom GTI Diesel badge
I purchased the car just over years ago with the intention of turning it back into show car, however as its so good on fuel ended up using it as daily car, During my ownership have done/paid to have done the following:
new coiloversnew radiator replaced turbo (old one blew)new brakes all around in 2017 (EBC)new front brakes in late 2018 (EBC warped so fitted none EBC fronts)MK3 top mounts (fronts are worn already, polybush ones in the boot to be fitted)Cambelt Waterpump (late 2018)new non-pas steering rack (late 2018)new wishbones tie rod ends (late 2018)new glowplugs (2019)new headlight upgrade harnessOEM air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and oil all from TPS (Genuine VW parts)LED bulbs and osram nightbreaker headlights
I have also fitted OEM spec MK2 GTI interior as it had MK2 Driver interior when bought it, usual bolster wear on front drivers seat, front drivers side door card is knackered at bottom but have decent one in the garage with slightly different pattern on it.
I have also recently fitted used drivers side front door as the old one (in the garage) was battered, the door however hasn't been perfectly lined up yet. new glowplug harness (2019).
Now for the bad points:Fuel filler cap has the usual rust (pictured)Rear valance has rust in the corners (pictured)Rust bubbles around rear lightsfew spots of rust bubbles on doorsPaint isn't in brilliant condition, bonnet has been resprayed at some point and has orange pealedDoor pin on chassis has rust around (I have cut off solid car for this)Body kit isn't fitted correctly in placesfront arch plastics are damaged (I have replacement ones ready to be fitted)Rear bumper sagging in corner (I have aftermarket rear bumpers in garage)OEM central locking and electric windows removed by old owner and converted to manualParcel shelf support broken (I have replacement in garage)MOT has run out (please read below in red)
The car was due for its MOT in February and had the MOT garage have quick look over it earlier in the month and they were happy with it except for the tyres (I purchased some MK2 SEAT Ibiza Cupra wheels to get it through its MOT but never fitted them), as the MOT date was approaching decided to address to blue smoke on startup issue by fitting some new glow plus from TPS, while fitting these the 22 year old wiring harness for glow plugs disintegrated, So new one was purchased from TPS and has been wired in, during the process of pulling the old wiring harness out and undoing the main loom to get better access wire/wires has broken in the loom and therefore the engine will no longer start, it will turn over but wont physically start which makes us believe its to do with fuel pump wiring. Because of this it hasn't been for its MOT.
I have borrowed copy of MPPS to connect to the ECU so the ECU is still reading.
I was using the car daily so have had to purchase new daily and therefore now need this gone as haven't got the time to put it right, havent got the space to store it and am also not wiring person.  new wiring loom can be made up by few guys on ebay, search "PD130 conversion loom" they offer AHU looms as well.
Because it doesn't start and has not MOT it will need it be trailered away! Please contact me buy dont press buy it now, would prefer cash on collection.
Not willing to break the car so will be sold as whole car.
