got this Honda CBX from private owner in Canada two years ago. It had sat in garage for nearly 20 years, only run intermittently and was not running when got it. had it shipped to restoration shop near me and they flushed the crank case, cleaned the carbs, cleaned and coated the gas tank, replaced gas lines and stop cock, replaced the brake lines and disc pads, replaced the front fork springs and put on new tires. It started right up and was ridden periodically by the owner before picked it up. Over the next two years put about two thousand miles on it, riding it about every other day with periodic road trips of up to 70 miles. No problems but did have the carbs re-cleaned last summer. This bike needs to be run on ethanol free gas or have some sort of additive to offset the effects of the alcohol. Last fall had the tank and carbs drained and parked it for the winter. It is still sitting as it was set last fall. The battery is new but needs to be charged. I had wanted to do limited restore on this bike but simply don't have the time. have the side saddle bags still in the box from the guy bought them from. They have never been mounted. The bike needs new paint and there is small dent on the tank which needs to be fixed. It had always started right up for me but after the carb cleaning it seemed to have choke problems. believe the choke is not connected properly but once started, it runs like top and is very fast with lot of torque. There are zero leaks and doesn't smoke. also have new seat cover in its original packaging.
