1980 BMW R100RT Frame number: 6170689 Just few years after introducing the R90/6 and R90S, BMW upped the capacity of its range-topping flat-twins to 70bhp 980cc unit for the 1977 season in the form of the R100/7 series. The following year touring version of the R100RS superbike appeared boasting more generously proportioned fairing, taller windshield and higher handlebars. This was the R100RT, unquestionably the finest touring motorcycle of its day. 'It is so incredibly easy to ride that it doesn't distract you from any of the pleasures of biking just complements them,' enthused Bike magazine. Adorned with original BMW luggage and Windjammer fairing and bar risers, this bike is complete and in good barn-find condition. This motorcycle was abandoned at highly accredited international, licensed and bonded transportation company by client. After several years, the motorcycle is being sold to recoup storage and transportation costs. All legal work has been completed allowing the company to sell the motorcycle. As the motorcycle has been sitting in warehouse for few years, it will need re-commissioning to return it to safe road use.
