“Running, riding vintage motorcycle. Quite clean example with some patina as expected for its age. Please consult pictures and videos closely for condition.”
This model was named for Triumph’s racing success at the Daytona track in ‘66 and ‘67. When the bike was first produced in late 1966 it immediately took over the role of Triumph’s sport machine. Manufacturing of the Daytona ceased in 1973, the year after this bike was made. This is an attractive, tidy bike appearance-wise and it’s solid running, riding machine. The 500cc parallel twin motor has boosted 9:1 compression ratio from the factory. The Daytona’s nimble stature makes it arguably the most enjoyable model of Triumph to blast around on. The headers and mufflers were replaced recently. It has had the carburetors cleaned and synchronized. The points were cleaned and the timing set. It has an AGM spill-proof battery. The Lucas low profile taillight is nice touch. The European-styled “M” bars tidy up the front end and are very comfortable from an ergonomic stance. The paint on the fuel tank is black and silver. The fork gators need to be replaced with ones that fit correctly. It has new LED headlamp bulb. Please consult the photos closely, as well as the videos linked below.Odometer: 22,068 miles.
