This was an ongoing 11 year total tear down and ground up restoration of EVERYsingle part of the entire car. ALLexterior panels are ripple-free, properly aligned and were professionallyinstalled. Modifications include rear spoiler, front air dam, custom grill, carbon fiberhood (with custom latches) and new factory rear antenna. Another nice feature is that Canadian cars are the only ones with exteriorheadlamp washers, as you can see in the photos of the front of the car.
PAINT WORKThe world famous California "House of Kolors" created this customgreen metallic color. The base foundation consists of two coats of large goldflakes, followed by two coats of transparent green pigment and then topped withtwo clear coats. Each application was painstakingly hand sanded prior to the application of thenext coat and the final topcoat buffed to brilliant, show quality finish. The color is consistent from front to rear, with no flaws or variations. Insunlight, the colors change from more gold flake to more green, depending onthe angle of the sun in the sky. The custom created "Tail of the Dragon" graphic proudly rests in thecenter of the carbon fiber hood, as well as the sides of both front fenders. Asa bonus for the new owner, they can be removed with no damage to the paintshould you so desire.
CHROME TRIMAll trim is original and in as-new condition. GLASS & EXTERIOR LIGHTINGWhen the car was painted, both the front windshield and therear hatchback glass were removed and replaced with new glass. All the remaining original glass is scratch freeand indistinguishable from new. Lumen Xenon high intensity headlights are up front, for both the low highbeams and there are LED units everywhere else. The fog lamps, (100 watt xenon units) and rear lighting clear light panel )were custom made LED units from www.clearcorners.comin California and give the car commanding rear appearance. The T-top glass is tinted and also in excellent condition. The original T-topsun shields are stored in custom leather pouches to ensure they remain inpristine condition.WHEELS TIRES There are (nearly) new BRIDGESTONE POTENZA 18" Tires (2 are 225/40R18 and 2are 265/35R18) with only 6,000 kilometers (4,000 miles)on them. Shuk castaluminum spoke rims add special touch to its custom appearance.
THE CUSTOM INTERIORThe black leather and gold suede seats were custom created for dramatic, yettasteful touch. The door panels, trim, visors and padded headliner are all inas-new condition. On Aug.3, 2016 at the Judged Show of ZCON 2016 in Toronto,( whichincluded the United States ZCCA car clubs), TOSHIO YAMASHITA the Japanesedesigner of this Z32 model, was so impressed with the car that he hand signedthe passenger visor, as he felt the car would be honored by his graciousness.You can see that photo in this listing. To add to the excitement, the car was judged that day and won the covetedNissan 300ZX TT Ultra Modified FIRST PLACE AWARD. An award not easily earned!You can see the award in the photo collection as well. The Alpine CD pod (CDE-164 BT) stereo is fitted in dash, with a"Diamond" 300 watt channel amplifier installed behind driver's seatand to further boost the surround sound, there is custom fitted 1O" Diamond subwoofer in rear hatchback. The 3-spoke special, leather rimmed MOMO racing steering wheel is thesmaller 14" size, allowing for more precise control, both in straightline and around corners. For accurate engine monitoring, California (1996) dash gauge cluster has beenfitted, as well as pillar gauges (VOLT BOOST) on driver's side. All weather stripping is in excellent condition and the hatch areas appear asnew, as well as the original jacking equipment.
THE ENGINE AND MECHANICALSThe engine started life as stock, original liter twin turbo with 143,000kilometers (89,000 MILES) and at present, after all the work has been completedhas 243,000 kilometers (151,000 MILES). Since this is Canadian car, the original odometer reading unit, (inkilometers) has remained, but the "face" of the speedometer hasbeen converted to read in miles per hour, with larger numbers around theperimeter in miles per hour and smaller numbers for kilometers per hour,virtually identical to all other US spec cars. Very early in the project numerous upgrades were completed, specifically ..... Garrett enlarged turbochargers for added boost horsepower, as well as acomplete custom fabricated 3" stainless steel exhaust system from front toback. This consists of high volume air flow intake, low restrictioncatalytic converters and tipped with Magnaflow chrome mufflers. Again adding tothe horsepower and (ahhh….the sound). A new ECU from Wolfe Technology (California) was installed, after it wasmodified to "maxed out limits" along with an added sub-frame to this 080 computer generation. These changes added 150 HORSEPOWER to the original engine, increasing it from astock 300 horsepower to 450 HORSEPOWER. That was good start, but theimprovements keep on going. The engine was then removed to properly paint and detail the engine compartmentand while it was out, all the electrics, hoses, gaskets, etc. were replaced withnew product. Engine parts were removed, sandblasted and then repainted inmatching lacquer. The rust free engine bay was painted and detailed in the matching body coloredgreen, together with flat gold custom "Z" battery hold down, a" Wing and three piece custom cover dressing up the frontengine bay. A heavy duty AMS Motorsport aluminum radiator with intercooler keeps everythingoperating at the right temperature. All A/C components were carefully gone overand were in good working order. In 2015, the engine was once again removed for additional work andupgrades, including new water pump and timing belt, gaskets and many otherparts. A new rear electric SUPER HICAS steering rack with rebuilt newer series 2version was put in, giving the wheel steering system 14 degrees turning on bothrear wheels. NOW you could really control the car through high-speed corners. A brand new A/C system replaced the original one, as further assurance ofenabling the automatic temperature control system to work flawlessly. This time complete brand new wiring harness with connectors was replaced by www.wiringspecial ties.com Continuing on with ZSPEC 232 Ultimate Engine Bay Fastener Kit" with stainless steel screws, orange and gold washers with otherstainless pieces for engine bay area, including "Z" oil and radiatorcaps, plus new BOSCH alternator. In February of this year brand new 300ZX 98+ Spec TI speed manualtransmission from www.Z1mortorsports.comwas installed, ensuring flawlessly fast shifts creating moreexciting driving experience. FRAME CHASSIS UPGRADESThe entire underbody and floors were sprayed (factory)chassis black and undercoated for rust free future life. New brake lines with "SKYLINE GTR" sourced, drilled disc rotors were installed.The calipers are painted green/gold with matching “Hawk” ceramic pads on eachcorner. This will guarantee straight line high speed stopping. All components were highly detailed and the body lowered via “HSD” adjustablestruts for more aggressive appearance and dramatically improved handling. REMARKS The Nissan 300ZX styling was an instant success upon its initial release in1989, earning the Motor Trend Import Car of the year in 1990, as well as beingone of the top ten performance cars. This special automobile has NEVER been winter driven, is in IMMACULATECONDITION and always properly stored. It is #89 of only 2,929 twin turbos built in 1996, which was the very last yearof its production.
