  We have decided to sell our 1972 Plymouth duster 340car. We have gone over every nut bolt and washer on this car. purchased thecar on e-bay from the State of New Jersey. flew down and drove it home sight unseen in the middle of winter. Turned few heads coming home in snow storms.Since February of 2014 have been restoring this car. Firstthe front end sheet metal was removed. Then the engine, transmission and frontsuspension were removed. The car was undercoated from the factory so the sheet metal was in greatshape. The inner fenders had some rust down near the shock mount frame. Sothese were replaced with complete new set from Layson restorations. The only other rust was thevery bottom of the back quarters so again Layson lower patch panels wereinstalled. The doors, hood, fenders and trunk lid were media blaster to bare metal primed in high build primer. Thecar was professionally painted while in pieces and then reassembled by localpaint shop. The shop only work on one car at a time and he always turns out nice product. The freshpaint is single stage SASSY GRASS GREEN. All of the weather-stripping is new,stripes are new, carbon fiber graphics on the hood are new. The rear spoiler is new. The front grill is new. All ofthe interior is either new or in great shape. New aftermarket seat with greenstitching with four point racing harness. They also recline or adjust to your comfort. The headliner and rear seats areall in amazing shape. The Hurst shifter was painstakingly installed to appearas factory install. New tuff wheel with the correct steering column. Even this was taken apart and all new bearing signallight switch etc were installed. Under dash gauges are also new. The radio areais mint. went radio delete as never use music in the car.I want to enjoy the sounds of the engine and exhaust. Youcan easily add radio if desired. Mechanically she has an all new front end powder coatedback, new front and rear sway bars, all new bushings and bearings, tie rod endsyou name it, new disc brakes on the front. New shocks, new bushings, new Borgeson steering box, new Doug’s headers feed acompletely new exhaust. new transmission cooler, new tires and 15” rims. Newpower brake vacuum pump, all new HEI electronics. I did my best to reduce wires and make the engine bay asclean as possible. The 904 transmission was rebuilt and shift kit 2500stall converter was installed. Posi track rear end with 3:80 gears. The rad is factory AC car radiator and workswell. am sure that am missing more as just remembered to gas tank sending unit as well. The “340”   Well it was completely disassembledand sent out for inspection and machining. The cylinders were machined out to.030” oversize. The crank was machined and balanced, the heads were heads.They are now stainless big valve 2.02 1.88 heads. Theywere treated to some flow work and gasket matching. All new bearings andgaskets were used. All new frost plugs etc. were installed. Redline cam see spec. sheet attached )and newbearings were installed. In addition double timing chain gears anda tension-er were installed, Comp cam roller rockers and new push rods were alsoadded. Sitting on top is an air-gap intake and new 600 CFM carb. This is the fourth Mopar have restored. In all over 400 man hours were spent perfecting this car.she  turnedout to be very nice representation of 1972 340 Duster. These are truly getting rarer. There was not single one at the Barrett Jackson’s auctionin Scottsdale in 2017. She looks great, She drives great, runs great anddemands an audience everywhere she goes. She rumbles barks and spins the tires. She will deliver whatever your foot asks her for.     Oh  and her name is  “DUSTY”   Car is located in Salmon Arm BC Canada, Can be driven or loaded onto your carrier.
