I've owned this Cadillac for close to 25 years, using it more and more infrequently.  took it out for first time this year and dropped it off for servicing as it required brake cylinders and an overall tune up (wires, plugs, cap, points).  Valve covers tightened and oil change performed.  Brake fluid also changed.
I'm strong believer in transparency so will disclose as much as can regarding the car's current condition.  Under my ownership, I  had the motor rebuilt about 10K miles/10 years ago,  as it was starting to burn oil. While the motor was out, the engine compartment was detailed, brake master replaced, radiator replaced, fender wells painted, etc.  Being driver, the engine compartment has become dirty and dusty but with quick clean, would be respectable.
The car has every option available in 1964 (see window sticker):padded vinyl rooftinted glassseat belts front and backpower way seatpower door locksclimate control AC (first year)headlamp control cruise controltwilight sentineltilt steering wheelleather seatsdoor edge guardscontrolled differentialrear window defoggerExterior:  Much of what you would expect from 55 year old car.  Nicks, small dings, rusting under roof sail panels.  Paint still has that deep lacquer paint shine but has scratches and swirl marks on the hood and trunk from years of car washes back in the day when they were not 'brushless'.  Chrome front bumper buckets were replaced many years ago but are still good.  Small ding in rear bumper. Chrome over all on the car is fairly decent. Crease over left side fender skirt from when bought it as well as crease in lower molding behind rear wheel. The rust under the vinyl roof on both sail panels is evident.  The hood was never put back on with proper alignment years ago after motor replacement but opens and closes without much effort.  Tires are old and will need replacement (old Firestone 7-2-1 whitewall).
Under the hood:  Engine compartment is dusty as stated above.  Hinges were powder coated, brake booster cleaned and painted as well as the cruise control mechanism.  Fire wall was detailed when motor re-installed years ago.  Water pump replace last year.  Heater core is bypassed as it was leaking.  A/C was all changed over to 134a more than 15 years ago but inoperable currently.  have the correct replacement hood pads in bag that will go with the car.  Triple Eldorado horns toot as they should.
Interior: Untouched for the last 25 years except to be cleaned.  Rugs need replacement, lower door pane rugs need replacement as well.  Door panel armrests are fading, wood is fairly decent.  Driver's seat area has that cracking patina; no apparent holes/rips.  Top of back seat faded from sun as well as rear parcel shelf.  Passengers side floor in corner is rusting from leaking condensate from A/C over the years. Original floor mats are presentable.  Dash is free of any cracks.  Steering wheel is nice.  Power seat is sticking; believe grease is just gunked up and perhaps cable is loose as the seat worked perfectly fine last year.  Windows all work; vent windows up front at times stick.  Antenna and radio work; rear speaker needs attention. Power door locks function properly.  Headlight dimmer functions as does the twilight sentinel delay.  Trunk remote release, pull down,  and the light inside indicating the trunk is open, all work.  Headline is nice.
Drive train and Suspension:  Years ago replaced the front springs and all front end components with the help of fellow Caddy Club member.  used the inch taller limo springs as these cars suffer from that old Caddy sagging!  Rear is kept up with air shocks which should be replaced.  The turbo-hydramatic transmission was serviced last year; screen replaced and fluid changed; shifts as it should.  Rochester carburetor rebuilt as well.  Water pump replaced last year and coolant changed at that time; car has never overheated under my ownership; temp gauge always dead center.  Brakes received attention as well as the tune up just weeks ago as mentioned above.
Like most old car nuts, I've had the restoration of this car in the back of my mind forever.  Just kept it going and never had the time and too many other things happening to restore.  Would rather an enthusiast take this on!  My 1976 Fleetwood is also listed.
Car can be seen in Northwestern NJ by appointment. have is listed locally as well and reserve the right to end the auction if it sells elsewhere.  Pick up only.  Pay pal deposit accepted of $1000 within 24 hours of auction ending.  Balance in days cash or verifiable  bank check.  Don't bid if you done want to own!  Questions welcome; inspection suggested!
Thanks!
