I purchased unregistered (Made repairs necessary, blue slipped and registered  in March) to convert to camper van but circumstances have changed so must go.

Vehicle had been sitting for year or so before service and repairs for blue slip, so took for highway run 150kms and hardly used any fuel, oil or water. never went over halfway on temp gauge, where it always sits.

Total of $3000 in parts and rego spent in months no time to pursue.Handles very well on the road Tight and very comfortable, great clear view all round driving position and seating
New steering wheel airbag clockwork spring fitted $595.00 trade list price from VW Dealer.
Motor,Gearbox service oils filter etc $500Blue slip and registration $1300
Wheels have 75% tyres .All glass factory tinted and in good order
 Automatic 01M speed gearbox blown 2-3 shifter springs (maybe more) 
Looks like 2.5 litre petrol motor has been reconditioned no leaks rattles or squeeks.
Air conditioners in front and rear of vehicle by Trakka.
 Remote control stereo with front back speakers

Not skerrick of rust under body or around usual areas.

Answer:Hi, Thank you for the response, am  happy to do the swap and  myself for $500 plus cost of factory oils filters and parts, (I am qualified and have the facilities but need fortnight from receiving the gearbox to fit around my schedule)Prices of gearboxes range from $800 for 2nd hand with limited warranty to $4500 for rebuild with some warranty. So short answer is estimate from basic $2000 inclusive. on $800 gearbox.Hope this helpsPeter
