THIS AD HAS BEEN RELISTED A/C TIME WASTER Up for sale is our family car for the last 10 years. The Rover Quintet was essentially top-spec door hatch version of the SY Honda Accord. Many mechanicals are similar to the Honda Prelude and Britain's Triumph Acclaim. Built by Jaguar Rover Australia/Honda in 1984. 1.6 litre 'EL' series engine with semi-automatic transmission (you change gears manually but there is no clutch. In all those years it has NEVER let us down in 200,000km Always serviced. Interior very good. Body straight. Running well apart from start up puff of smoke. Some oil leaks as you would expect from an older car. Issues- Some fairly minor paint issues. The multi-function stalk needs replacing- only affecting wipers. Blinkers/Lights control all OK. THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER IS LEAKING. Car has not been driven for while. Trailer/truck is best for pick up as no one wants an accident The car has new front and rear tyres and brake pads and rear linings are near new. Power Steering, Electric Windows, and Air Con all working well. So, cheap reliable little car. Honda engines are renowned for longevity and would expect it to do another 100,000. Timing belt was replaced late last year. We are in new small unit and have no room to keep all our cars. good sound little project. Parts are cheap as the driveline is all Honda.
