Pontiac Firebird Formula 455 1973
This is genuine, documented Ram Air 'Big Block' Formula 455 with Muncie speed manual gearbox.
The Formula models were available with the base 350ci engine, the most common 400ci big block, the much rarer 455ci big block and very few 455 Super Duty models which now fetch well over $200,000.
My car has huge list of factory options fitted total of 29!) including the big motor, Muncie M21 speed gearbox, power steering, power brakes, performance suspension, rear boot spoiler, Trans Am instrument cluster, Formula steering wheel, Rally II wheels, tinted glass, custom trim group, lighting group and on and on..... 
The previous owner in the US thinks that this is of Formula ordered in 1973 that is, no other car has this specification.
She was true 'barn find' car in the US, covered in dust but all there and complete. She has had repaint in the original Regatta Blue, rebuilt engine, rebuilt radiator, new full exhaust system, new windscreen, new carpets, front seats recovered, new headlining, air conditioning system overhauled etc. etc. 
All of this work is documented with photos as proof, in history file which comes with the car. The owners manual warranty info card is in the file and copy of the original selling dealers' order sheet comes with it as well. The order sheet proves it was built as an original Ram Air car and is not replica.
The engine in my car is replacement 455, (correctly date coded 1973), and has been fully rebuilt by qualified engineer with Ram Air IV cam (same as the 455SD), Rhoads lifters, Edlebrock Performer intake manifold, ported cylinder heads (9:1 compression ratio) and now puts out an estimated 450HP. The car is perfectly docile around town when driven normally, but has plenty of power when required...
The Pontiac is fully engineered for Australia with new ADR approved point retracting seat belts all round, new headlights (to dip the right way), amber indicators etc. The engineers certificate comes with the car to allow for registration in any State. Currently, the Pontiac is registered on VicRoads Club Permit.
Total mileage is 106,000, but only approx 5,500 since the rebuild.
The paintwork that was done on the car is very good, but not quite perfect. If you wanted real show winner there would to be some better preparation work in couple of areas, but the paint is certainly good enough to put her in local show. 
At the moment the tacho doesn't work, but replacement tacho and circuit board comes with the car. And the A/C needs to be re-gassed. 
The reserve price is set to take the above items into account. And bank transfer is the preferred method of payment as it protects us both :).
1973 was the last year for the 'Bull Nosed' Firebird Trans Am models, as the muscle car era came to close, engines got smaller and the power output was lowered.....
