Purchased driven from Melbourne 10 years ago, registration wasn't renewed as had two jobs to do 1) replace the quarter vent window rubbers; discovered you have to remove the whole inside of the drivers door covering just can't see myself ever getting it back on (see photo). Consequently the passenger's quarter vent still remains untouched, as does2) the de Dion rubber gaiter (supplied) looks beyond my expertise. Other problems: the car is great for her 46 years, though rear seats are cracked won't soften; front seats are OK come with sheepskin covers; little ooze from tappet cover the boot gathers water, though minor rust is only in bottom of front doors; choke cables are tad sticky rear door has dots of paint lost when the lady of the house forgets the Forester door opens wide plus loss of some black fabric from panel behind rear passenger's window. The good bits always shedded, 65,000 miles on the clock, though can't vouch that it hasn't already been around once, though since purchase have only driven her (on farm) to keep the oil circulating. Still delight to drive with throaty roar, comes with spare gearboxes, exhaust manifold, towbar, dash instrument panels, boot full plus rear seat of spares as shown manuals, front rear lenses, Girling brake adjuster (hard to get), badges, jack, unused power buffer, engine bay stickers well worth over $500 alone! Location: Crookwell, half way between Canberra Bathurst.Reserve set well below what P6 in this condition should bring, but I'd like to see someone with the expertise (I don't have) to get her running as she deserves.
