Up for sale is my 3.2 litre Jaguar XJ8 2001. The car was meticulously maintained by Jaguar mechanic prior to my purchase approx 12 months ago. fresh engine was installed with 60,000km’s traveled on it approx months ago with all receipts.The car has travelled 280,000k’s but is in prestine mechanical condition. had the gearbox rebuilt including upgrading the Drum and valves approx months ago and always keep on top of servicing all parts before they cause problem. New bearings, new rear shafts, new front disks and pads are some of the recent updates in the last month. The car has driven to and from Melbourne several times in the last months without missing beat, hence the high mostly freeway km's.
Recently had an issue with sensor on the throttle body causing the car to ping when running but this has been replaced and she runs like brand new again.
Curretly there is slow leak out of the heater tap which am going to have replaced on purchase. The sensor in the expansion tank is also faulty so it shows low water on the dash when it is actually full, again this is something am chasing up and intend on changing before purchase of vehicle but it may not get done.
The only issues holding this car back from roadworthy would be tyres, there is one brand new one on there but the other three are touch and go. can have these replaced and car to come with NSW or ACT roadworthy along with the remaining month or so of rego for the buy it now price of $7500.
Exterior the paint is almost perfect, few little shopping trolley dings here and there but easy to fix them. The bumpers have little paint scrapes on the corners but have some paint to have them tidied up and may have this done before sale.Interior is like brand new, presents perfectly and is testament to the pride taken in this car since day one. Black leather with timber all in great condition. Car sold as is where is with pictures forming part of the description. Will sell no reserve for highest bid. Car is advertised elsewhere. Do not bid to ask your mrs, bidding to buy. Looking for quick sale, car must be picked up within days of auction end.
